With respect for our future leaders and who they will serve, the Expanded Horizons program is operated with a strong value for community.
OVERVIEW OF OUR PROGRAM
Expanded Horizons is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that offers direct instruction in single-skill, talent, ability, expertise, and proficiency classes. We are an essential organization in the community. We provide our children access to experiences that ordinarily would not be provided in a standard educational environment. We provide:
Peace of mind with adult supervision at all times.
Creative, fun, and technology-driven educational programs.
Dedicated, motivated, and personable teachers and staff.
Light snacks included.
Incentivized learning environment to maximize retention.
In addition to being the ideal supplemental educational program for your family's needs, we work hand-in-hand with parents to care and educate your children.
Expanded Horizons is not a child-care facility, day-care center, or licensed before-school or after-school program. Our program does not offer child-care services and is not licensed by the state. We do not offer classes that contain any physical risks to children. We conduct background checks via the Department of Public Safety for all program employees and volunteers who work with children.

OUR BEGINNING: PRG SERVICES
PRG Services (Providing Residential Assistance to Girls) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that seeks to provide academic, social, and life skills training classes.
Initially, PRG Services was established to provide shelter for young women transitioning from the foster care system to adulthood. The academic and social skills program was considered a source of funding for the transitional housing operation.
However, PRG Services soon discovered that there was also a great need for an academic and social skills program for school-aged students beginning with the age of four (4).
Consequently, PRG Services has evolved into the program that we have today—Expanded Horizons.
1) Academic Enhancement
2) Social Skills Training
3) Life Skills Training
These services seek to prevent youths in all areas of life—foster care, single home, two parent homes, and homeless shelters—from being left without these invaluable resources at younger ages.
HOPE.. DREAM.. BELIEVE
It's just that simple. Expanded Horizons nurtures Hope, encourages our children to Dream, and support them by making sure they know we Believe in them.
Sometimes, that's all it takes to bring out the best in children...
Expanded Horizons' mission is to provide educational and supportive services to young people and to act as a community support system by providing remedial and enrichment instruction in reading and math.
As a supportive measure, we aligned a comprehensive Creative Arts program for children of all ages. Every activity has been designed to positively affect change in our students’ learning process.
THEY ARE OUR FUTURE.
